Oyster Farmers have been throttling the speed of their flupsy motor with rheostats for decades.
But there is a huge drawback to this mentality. Rheostats destroy the motors in your flupsy. Don’t use a rheostat, take your flupsy to the next level with our Vari-Speed Axial Flow System.
More Flow -> More Food -> More Growth
3-Phase Ice Eater compatible with our brand new Vari-Speed Axial Flow System.
The Ice Eater was originally designed to prevent ice from forming around boats, marinas, docks, and piers as well as effectively melting existing ice by breaking the surface with a continuous current of warmer bottom water.
Following the lead of the Cornell System, Oyster Farmers began using the Ice Eater in the 90’s to act as an axial flow pump in their Floating Upweller Systems. The Ice Eater is constantly trying to empty the central trough in the Floating Upweller System, drawing water from each silo and creating flow through the seedbed.
|Dimensions||11 × 9 × 8 in|
The design of the Ice Eater’s venturi shroud (housing) with outwardly flared ends, provides more upward thrust & draws warmer water from greater depths than other conventional de-icers.
The shroud is submersible below the surface either vertically or angled from vertical. A set of mounting holes at opposed positions on the flange allows the lines to be attached.
Bearon Aquatics is committed to providing the finest de-icers available in the marketplace. As a result, specifications are subject to change without notice.
• Our units are designed to agitate fresh or salt water at maximum efficiency in all climatic conditions.
• Our energy efficient Ice Eater’s will agitate more water than any de-icer on the market today.
• We ship by U.P.S. or motor freight.
